Tardivo di Ciaculli: the box for the end of the mandarin season
The clue is in the name: Tardivo di Ciaculli ripens later than many common mandarins. It is prized for its pronounced fragrance, sweet flavour and thin peel, and it keeps a more traditional mandarin character than seedless clementines.
This is the mandarin to choose if fragrance matters to you. The peel is thin and aromatic, and the flavour is sweet but recognisably mandarin rather than orange-like.
Unlike clementines, Tardivo di Ciaculli can naturally contain seeds. That is a normal characteristic of the variety, not a defect.
Our selling window usually falls between December and March, depending on the harvest and current stock.
Choose the quantity, not a different grading
The 9 kg and 18 kg options contain the same Tardivo di Ciaculli selection. Choose the smaller box for normal household use or the larger one for shared orders and regular consumption.
Clementines or Tardivo?
Choose clementines if easy peeling and few or no seeds are your priority.
Choose Tardivo di Ciaculli if you want a more aromatic, late-season mandarin and do not mind the possible presence of seeds.
