Coscia pears are delicate fruit, so the box is handled differently
Coscia pears are small-to-medium summer pears with fine white flesh, a sweet flavour and a juicy texture. Unlike citrus, they continue to soften after harvest, so ripeness and handling matter as much as the variety itself.
This product is sold as one 15 kg box when the summer harvest is open. It is a larger household or shared-order format rather than a small supermarket-style tray.
What changes after delivery
Coscia pears continue to ripen naturally. A firmer pear will soften and become more aromatic over time, while a riper pear should be eaten sooner.
For slower ripening, keep part of the box refrigerated and bring the fruit back to room temperature before eating. Check the box regularly and separate any fruit that is ripening faster than the rest.
Coscia pears are much more seasonal than olive oil and have a shorter commercial window than our main citrus range. The 15 kg box returns to sale when the new crop is ready and stock can be prepared for shipping.
Out of season. Expected back from late July 2027. The product page stays online so you can check the format in advance.
